All Medfield High School varsity Fall I athletics were forced into postponement this past week due to inclement weather, culminating in an unseasonably early snow on Friday. Even so, the Warriors were still able to make some headlines.
- All athletic events scheduled to be played against Norwood this past weekend will be made up in mid-November. Girls and boys varsity soccer will each play a home-and-home with Norwood on November 14 and 15. Girls and boys cross-country will host Norwood on November 14. Varsity field hockey will travel to Norwood on November 11 and host Norwood on November 17.
- Senior soccer captain James Layden was named a boys soccer player of the week by the Boston Globe. Layden scored all three of Medfield's goals throughout the weekend of October 24 and helped the Warriors to a pair of shutout victories (1-0 on Saturday, 2-0 on Sunday) against arch rival Dover-Sherborn.
- Medfield High varsity girls lacrosse and soccer star Erin Sullivan committed to play lacrosse at the University of Pennsylvania. The 5'6" midfielder currently sports a 4.44 GPA and was a recipient of the school's Blue and White Award for academic excellence and leadership, as well as the Academic Excellence Award in biology and wellness. Sullivan will look to cap off her high school career in the coming months as the Warriors wait to find out the fate of the 2021 MIAA spring athletic season (COVID-19).
