The Medfield Alumni Association has announced that the second annual John Panciocco Memorial Softball Tournament will take place Saturday, October 10. Registration for the tournament will open on Monday, August 17, at 12:30 p.m.
The tournament is held in memory of John Panciocco, an assistant athletic director, coach, and teacher who passed away in 2019. All proceeds of the tournament help fund the John Panciocco Memorial Scholarship.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, new rules will be in place for this year's event. Teams are limited to ten people per team. Players cannot be swapped out throughout the day. Teams will be carefully staggered, and may not be allowed to watch other rounds, as there can only be 25 people in attendance at a time. Spectators will not be allowed to watch this year's tournament.
Registration costs $30 per person, or $300 per team. A wait-list will be made if registration fills up. Those wishing to be added to the wait-list should email their request to medfieldalumni@gmail.com.
