While the college freshman were home for Thanksgiving break, the Needham High School girls lacrosse team gathered for a luncheon at one of the family’s homes to celebrate the team’s state championship. During the luncheon, Needham Bank celebrated the students’ accomplishments by presenting each player and coach with a state championship jacket.
“The lacrosse team demonstrated teamwork at its finest during their state championship victory,” commented Joe Campanelli, Needham Bank’s President and CEO. “We’re very proud of the accomplishments all Needham High School athletes have achieved this year and we look forward to celebrating more victories in the future.”
In June, the Needham girls lacrosse team capped off a 23-3 season by winning the Division 1 state championship title with an 8-5 win over Longmeadow at Boston University’s Nickerson Field.
“Needham Bank always goes above and beyond for the community in so many different ways and we are thrilled to have a partner like them in Needham,” remarked Beth O’Brien, Needham girls lacrosse coach. “It was wonderful to get the team back together over the Thanksgiving break and we appreciate Needham Bank giving us a reason to do so.”
