‘Sleeping Beauty’ to enchant Walpole

Tickets are on sale now for the Walpole Children’s Theatre’s winter production of the classic fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty.” Showtimes are March 2 at 7 p.m. and March 3 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Walpole Footlighters Playhouse, 2 Scout Rd. in East Walpole.

A lively, creative version of the famed story, "Sleeping Beauty" features such diverse characters as the good and wicked godmothers, Prince Simple, a hilariously wild foreign chef, and an entire sleeping kingdom. The adventure contains audience participation for children and an exciting sword fight aboard a pirate ship. The cast is made up of 28 youth actors from Walpole, Norwood, and Westwood.

“Sleeping Beauty” was adapted for the stage by Brian Way, and is directed by Jess McNamara of Walpole.

Tickets can be purchased from the Walpole Children’s Theatre website at walpolechildrenstheatre.org or by calling the box office at (508-921-0542). Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children under 12, and $8 for seniors.
