Rick Merson, parade Grand Marshal

In appreciation of the many years of service that he has committed to the town Of Needham, the Needham Exchange Club has recognized Rick Merson as this year’s Grand Marshal for the 4th of July Parade.

Richard “Rick” Merson began his career in Public Works holding several positions in the Department’s engineering division while attending Northeastern University and participating in the Cooperative Education Program. Rick has been employed by the Town of Needham Public Works since February 1972, and has been serving as its Director since 1992. He is past president of the American Public Works Association (APWA), New England Chapter, and an active member to many professional organizations. Rick also serves on the Board of Directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Metro Boston, Inc. and was recently recognized for his 25 years of volunteerism.

The Exchange Club is proud to recognize and appreciate Rick’s spirit and dedication to Needham as the Grand Marshal of this year’s
4th of July Parade.
