The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is hosting a series of special ceremonies to honor the organization’s volunteers, including awards being given to those who shined brightest during the past year. The events began Tuesday at ARL’s Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center; similar events will also took place in Boston and Brewster.
Scott Krieger of Westwood took home ARL’s Unsung Hero award, which is given to the volunteer that goes above and beyond to make a tremendous overall impact to the animals ARL serves. Krieger began volunteering with ARL in 2017 and has been a standout by taking any means necessary to ensure the animals are happy and receiving the necessary support. Scott’s efforts have certainly not gone unnoticed by ARL staff.
Volunteers are a vital piece to ARL fulfilling its mission for being an unwavering champion for animals in need, and the organization is fortunate to have more than 550 dedicated volunteers who give thousands of hours to help care for animal in a variety of ways at ARL’s three shelters in the Greater Boston Area and Cape Cod.
