The Westwood Health Department is pleased to announce that the Annual Family Flu Clinic will be held for Westwood residents age five and older on Saturday, October 15, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Westwood High School gym, located at 200 Nahatan Street. The vaccine is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Health insurance is not required to receive a flu shot; however, the Town receives reimbursement for those presenting their insurance and/or Medicare cards. Please download the registration form from the Board of Health web page at www.Townhall.Westwood.Ma.Us under flu information and bring a copy of your insurance cards.
Remember, the best protection from influenza and other illness is frequent hand washing. Wash hands with warm water and soap and lather for at least 15 seconds. Avoid people you know are ill, stay home if you are ill yourself, and if you develop symptoms of flu which last greater than seven days seek medical care.
The Health Department will be collecting monetary donations for the Westwood Food Pantry.
