The Neponset River Regional Chamber of Commerce presented Taste of the Region, a showcase of restaurants, caterers, and other food businesses held in the ballroom at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton. Seventeen companies provided information and delicious tasting samples during the evening.
Attendees enjoyed entertainment provided by Dennis Blanchard of Eventful Magic and students from the School of Rock Norwood. Many visitors also took their chances on several fantastic raffle raffle items donated by member companies, including hotel stays, beauty services, baskets of wines and liquors, Red Sox tickets, and photography services, among many others. The evening was sponsored by the Bank of Canton, Murphy Hesse Toomey & Lehane, Attorneys at Law, OneLocal, trubella, and Dedham Savings.
Food vendors and restaurants were happy to greet people at their booths and answer questions about their services. Culinary samples included a short rib appetizer from Off the Vine Catering, a salad with an Asian dressing from Dressed with Flavor, brownies and blueberry muffins from Bibi Café & Bakery, ice cream with toppings from Ice Cream Emergency, BBQ selections from Top Golf, tacos from Taqueria El Barrio, and pasta from Neroli Ristorante. Other vendors included Not Your Average Joe’s, One Bistro, Midway Restaurant and Distinctive Catering, Blue Ribbon BBQ, Burke Distributors, Cornerstone of Canton, and Texas Roadhouse. It was easy for visitors to satisfy their dinnertime hunger with the varied options available.
The newly redecorated ballroom at the Blue Hill Country Club was spacious and attractive, with a wall of windows overlooking the golf course to let in natural light and comfortable seating in the lobby area just outside. Cocktail tables were placed around the room. Adult beverages were offered at the long traditional bar in the cocktail room. The club is available for hosting weddings and other social events as well as business meetings.
The Neponset River Regional Chamber of Commerce works with businesses that are in, or have customers in Canton, Dedham, Foxborough, Medfield, Norwood, Sharon, Stoughton, Walpole, Westwood, surrounding towns, or on the internet.
