The town of Westwood has declared a parking ban now in place until March 31st. Residents and visitors can no longer park their cars overnight on the street.
The parking ban is in place to ensure that snow plows can properly clear roads and emergency vehicles can get to their destination in a timely manner. A statement released on November 30 notes that the Public Works Assistant Director or the Chief of Police may remove any vehicle interfering with snow plowing or ice removal. Cars violating this ban may be towed and ticketed.
