It may seem that the kids just got back to school, but February vacation is right around the corner. Hale Reservation has recently expanded their vacation programming.

Starting this year, the program will include eighth graders following the popularity of the newly implemented Thurston After School Program. From Tuesday, February 16 through Friday, February 19 the following programs will be available:

Winter Wonders (first-fourth grade). Dig out your snow boots to enjoy different themed adventures outside. Activities include hikes, sledding and winter games. An indoor portion will consist of story-time and arts and crafts.

Wild, Wild Winter! (fifth-eighth grade). Exciting winter adventures are on the horizon. Kids will engage in stimulating activities and games, as well as snowshoeing, sledding, orienteering, low ropes courses and outdoor survival skills.
The cost for both programs is $75 per day and includes snacks. Extended day is available from 8-9 a.m. and 3-5 p.m. for an additional fee.
