The Wellesley Historical Society will be holding its annual dinner at Alumnae Hall, Wellesley College, on January 13.

The honoree for the evening is Suzanne Frederick, a Society member since 2006 when she became interested in the Society’s costume and textile collection and provided funding for collection processing. Subsequently she was instrumental in launching the Tollhouse Shop along with Barbara Sturgis and still volunteers her time for the little store that sells gently used china, glassware, linens, objets d’art, and the like.

Frederick’s involvement with the Society has included launching the scholarship program, pitching in to help make events successful, serving on the board of directors, and much more. She lived in Wellesley on Valley Road for 43 years, attended Wellesley College, and has been involved with many local organizations including the Wellesley Hills Woman’s Club, of which she was president.

The evening will also be celebrating the 90th anniversaries of the Historical Society and the Wellesley Players and the 125th anniversary of the Wellesley Hills Woman’s Club.

Tickets for the dinner are $50 and there is an opportunity to place tribute ads in the program book to support the Society.
