Kids raise Make-A-Wish funds

Ten local young philanthropists between the ages of five and eight years old formed a group named the "Birthday Bunch for Make-A-Wish." The Birthday Bunch for Make-A-Wish group began with a collective goal to raise enough money to grant one wish to a Make-A-Wish child - $7,500. These inspiring children asked for donations from family and friends to Make-a-wish in lieu of birthday gifts and surpassed their goal by raising $8,145 in just over a year! They are now participating in making a local child's wish come true!

Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island's mission is to grant the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. For a child with a life-threatening medical condition, a wish granted brings with it a profound moment of joy: the moment a child first comes face-to-face with a favorite celebrity; arrives at a tropical destination; or experiences a lifelong dream of singing on stage. However, the power of a wish - and the power of a donor’s gift - extends far beyond this single moment in time. A wish provides lasting hope that a seriously ill child needs - to keep fighting, dreaming, and striving for the future.
