Historical Society, Library host Winter Wednesdays

On January 17, kids are invited to explore “A Time of Revolt: Wellesley and the American Revolution” with staff from the Wellesley Historical Society. The community is invited to learn about its local minutemen, try writing with a quill pen, and experience toys that would have delighted children at the time of the American Revolution.

The Wellesley Historical Society and the Wellesley Free Library are offering Winter Wednesdays through February 14. The programs take place in the children's room of the main library from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Children are encouraged to drop in any time; there is no need to register and no admission fee.

Winter Wednesdays is a series of weekly programs for children ages 5-10, each one featuring a different historical topic. Children learn history in a hands-on way, using arts and crafts, games, and other fun activities.
