Sisters United Against Cancer plan Wellness Fair

Sisters United Against Cancer is excited to announce a Wellness Fair on May 21 at the Knights of Columbus in Walpole. The Sisters are a nonprofit organization formed March 2021 by identical twin sisters who battled breast cancer. The two received so much love and support from family, friends, and co-workers that they now want to give that same love and support to others. Their mission is to provide, promote, and educate those battling cancer about natural, organic, and holistic remedies.

Sisters United Against Cancer has been up to quite a bit since their start a year ago. Among the Sisters' activities: Donated sneakers and FitBits to children on an oncology unit; Gave away approximately 50 gift boxes to those battling cancer to provide encouragement, comfort, celebration and spiritual support; Gave away a trampoline helping to rebound from cancer; shared their journey with a Pre-Med class at Dartmouth College; gave 100 thank-you bags to medical staff on 6th floor Children’s Hospital-oncology unit; and spearheaded the Wellness Walk at Bird Park to promote the importance of exercise for healing.

Among the organization's future goals are: donating 100 more bags to Children’s Hospital with a goal of thanking staff on each floor; donating more gift boxes to those battling cancer at any stage; donating more trampolines to promote the health benefits of rebounding; launching their Spring/Summer Campaign—Rebounding From Cancer—Jumping into Wellness with Exercise and Good Nutrition. This campaign will include a family fitness challenge, as cancer is a family diagnosis and the entire family should jump on board to get well and stay well; and raising money for a community greenhouse to provide and educate the community about herbal remedies.

The Wellness Fair will feature a presentation by a functional medical doctor, as well as local health and wellness businesses who will be promoting and sharing resources to help heal naturally. Also included will be raffles, free giveaways, a bake sale, goodie bags, and the launch of Sisters United Against Cancer's Spring/Summer Campaign - Rebounding from Cancer. Admission is free; sign up early, as seating is limited.

The sisters are still looking for vendors, donors, and sponsors. They also need raffle prizes (gift baskets, gift cards, gift certificates, merchandise from health and wellness businesses).
