Precocious Walpole artist illustrates book

Kari Cabral, a student at Blessed Sacrament School in Walpole, first came to the attention of Hometown Weekly in 2015, when she became a published illustrator. Then eight years old, Cabral illustrated drawings in a children's book titled "A Sweet Lemon Arrives at Two Mountain Farm,” written by Karen E. Rose.

Kari recently illustrated drawings for a third book in the “Two Mountain Farm” series, which was just released this month. The book is called "Lost and Found Friends At Two Mountain Farm.” It is a story of life, love, loss, and living on, and it serves to prove that loved ones are never truly lost; they can be found anytime by looking in one’s heart. “Lost and Found Friends” is a bittersweet, feel-good story about remembering and honoring lost loved ones; feathered, fur, or human.

Kari has always had an interest in the arts. In addition to drawing, she loves to read and write, and is always exploring new books. She spends her free time participating in theater productions and is also a competitive swimmer on a USA club swim team.
