Historical Society releasing Civil War book

The Walpole Historical Society has announced the release of "Civil War Soldiers Walpole, Massachusetts."

The book will contain 503 pages of biographies of over 300 local soldiers, maps, photographs, regimental histories, and battle histories. The 35 page index includes soldiers names, over 110 entries of other Massachusetts towns connected to Walpole,
17 other states and Canada.

The book, which is $60 hardbound, $50 softbound, will be available shortly at the Walpole Historical Society, P.O. Box 100, 33 West Street, Walpole, MA. The Society is open Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and can also be reached at walpolehistoricalsociety@yahoo.com.
