The Walpole Council on Aging has partnered with Fox Tours to present its first trip destination of the season to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA, on Tuesday, April 5.
Tourers will depart from the South Street Center, 60 South Street, Walpole, at 8:15 a.m. on a luxury Silver Fox Coach for the Massachusetts Berkshires. They will enjoy the beautiful foliage heading west, and discover that the quaint village of Stockbridge maintains itself much like that depicted in Norman Rockwell’s famous painting, “Main Street Stockbridge.” Authentic shops and historic sights help bring the famous painting to life. Enjoy a delicious luncheon at Michael’s Restaurant. After lunch, visit the renowned Norman Rockwell Museum, where you will have the opportunity to experience Rockwell’s artistic styling and view the legacy of images that helped define American identity throughout the 20th century as portrayed on the front pages of the Saturday Evening Post. Tourers will return to the South Street Center at approximately 6:00 p.m.
The cost of the tour is $109 per person and includes luxury Silver Fox Coach, Stockbridge sightseeing, Museum admission, and full-course luncheon. For more information, call Sheri Cohen at (508-668-3330), or drop by the Center to pick up a flyer and registration form.
