On July 12, a large crowd gathered to enjoy the kickoff to Walpole Recreation’s popular Concerts on the Common concert season.
The very first performance of the 2016 season featured returning act Eleven. The rock band kicked off their performance at 6:30 p.m. Their act featured a number of rock covers that were enjoyed by over 100 people who turned out to enjoy the concert on a warm summer night.
Those who missed the opening of Walpole’s Concerts on the Common still have plenty of concerts to attend over the summer. The next concert will be held on July 19, and will feature a performance filled with pop songs by The Experts. The concert kicks off at the Walpole town common at 6:30 p.m.
Walpole’s Concerts on the Common will continue into August, with several acts lined up. Mike and Joe’s Big Band will perform on August 2, country band The New Cowboys will perform on August 9, The Infractions will take the stage on August 16, and the final concert on August 23 will feature Studio 2, a Beatles tribute band. All August concerts begin at 6 p.m.
In the event of inclement weather, the Thursdays immediately following the scheduled concert dates will be reserved for rain dates.
