The Westwood High girls’ basketball team picked up the TVL title after beating out Norton on February 17 62-33.
The team has secured an undefeated 17-0 league record for the season after picking up the win against Norton, and an 18-2 record overall.
Just a few days prior, the team beat out Norwood and Archbishop Williams and to claim the top prize in the Riley Winter Classic on February 14. The Wolverines beat Norwood 51-42 and took the Riley Classic crown with a win against Archbishop Williams 60-53.
The Wolverines have more to be proud of, as several team members recently received honors. Captian Cailin Harrington was named a first team TVL All-Star, while Allie Morin and Andrea Meincke picked up second team All-Star awards. Head coach Katherine Clifford was named Coach of the Year.
The Wolverines took on Bishop Feehan on February 19, and fell to the non-league opponent 63-42. The team faced Needham on February 23, and will close out the season with a game against Hopkinton on February 24.
