On Tuesday, February 23, the Wellesley alpine ski teams participated in the state championships, where the girls took sixth place overall and the boys finished in fourth place.
Unofficially, the Raiders’ combined results were first for combined boys and girls finishers.
On the girls’ side, Nell Solomon led the way by finishing fifth in the giant slalom and seventh in the slalom, followed by Kim Bishop (51st and 27th). Sierra Goodhue was the third female Raider to finish, coming in 71st and 85th.
On the boys’ side, Jack McKenna led the way by finishing in ninth place in each of his races. Axel Forsgren finished in 11th in the giant slalom and 47th in the slalom, while Matt McKenna came in 43rd in the giant slalom and 59th in the slalom.
