Coming off a sixth place finish at the Division II All-State meet back in February, 2020 was another solid year for Walpole High School wrestling.
It will be hard to forget the strange way the 2020 school year ended due to COVID-19, especially for these seniors. For Walpole wrestling, six of its members graduated this past week and four will go off to college; Anthony Borelli (Virginia Tech), Kevin Demuth (Plymouth State), Donald Muho (Maine), Ryan Piersiek, Manny Rosado (Plymouth State) and AJ Servello.
Manny Rosado will wrestle at Plymouth State following an 83-16 record in just two years of wrestling at Walpole. Rosado graduates as the school record holder in wins in a single season (43), a two time Division II Sectional champion and a two-time Bay State Conference All-Star. Rosado finished the 2019-2020 season ranked as the No. 6 wrestler in the state in his division.
Anthony Borelli finishes his wrestling career as Walpole's all-time wins leader, holding a career record of 131-31. Borelli was twice named a Bay State Conference All-Star, was a two-time sectional champion and finished the 2019-2020 season with the No. 9 ranking in the state in his division.
Donald Muho secured 83 wins throughout his four years. Muho was a two-time Bay State Conference All-Star and finished the season ranked No. 6 in the state in his division.
AJ Servello will enter the United State Marine Corp after compiling 75 career wins.
