Former Walpole High field hockey stars Sarah Rockwood and Christine Murray (now a resident of Westwood), as well as former Medfield High School star Kate Slowe, all now teammates at Bentley, were recently named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Team.
Rockwood, a senior and two-time captain, received the recognition for the third consecutive year.
Slowe, a sophomore, made the list for the first time while Murray, a junior, received the honor for the second time in her collegiate tenure.
The Falcons finished the 2019 season at 9-10 (7-7 NE-10) and just missed out on an NCAA Tournament bid following a 2-1 double-overtime defeat to Southern New Hampshire in the NE-10 quarterfinals.
