Needham Soccer Club and Needham Baseball and Softball have joined forces to bring an important workshop to Needham this spring to help educate youth coaches on how to teach life lessons as well as their respective sports.
The Positive Coaching Alliance will present “Double Goal Coach: Coaching For Winning and Life Lessons” on Tuesday, April 12 from 7-9 p.m. at Pollard Middle School.
The event is free and all Needham sports coaches are invited to attend. No registration is required.
The workshop will feature videos from professional athletes and coaches that are members of the Positive Coaching Alliance’s National Advisory Board. According to a press release, the videos will demonstrate “how to pursue both winning and the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.”
Coaches will be certified as “Double-Goal Coaches.”
