The Medfield Warriors girls’ soccer finished the regular season against the Millis Mohawks, shutting them out for a 4-0 win. Medfield fought hard to win and take home the TVL Small Title, and guarantee a playoff spot.

The first half was fairly uneventful, with both teams fighting for control of the ball. Medfield goalie, Junior Cate Rodenhi, was a huge part of the win. She worked hard to cover the entire goal and communicated with the defense to help support her. Junior Audrey Grandinetti put up a few shots on goal, along with Elizabeth George. Senior Captain Ella Mulready was aggressive on offense, pushing Medfeld into the attacking zone. Medfield's defense and offense worked as one to keep control of the ball and force Millis back.  The first half was a shutout on both sides.

Medfield racked up their four goals in the second half. The first goal was scored by Senior Olivia Whelan, a very strong offensive force for the entire game. Junior Stella Scobbo played hard defense, keeping the Warriors in the scoring position. Junior Morganne Kilmer notched the second goal, and Junior Elizabeth George the third. The fourth and final goal was from Senior Captain Juliet Lane, off a rebound by Millis’s goalie. Freshman Lyla Manning fought hard with Millis to take the ball into the attacking zone. Medfield played as a well-oiled machine the entire game, keeping Millis away from the scoring position.

The Medfield Warriors took home the TVL Small Title and finished their season with a shutout win. They completed the season with a 13-3-2 overall record. They move on to the State Championship Playoffs, playing for the Division 3 title. The Warriors have worked all season to prove they are a contender for the championship and are ready to take the title home.
