Dover-Sherborn Regional High School had several athletes honored this past week for their achievements throughout the recently-concluded Fall I athletic season in the Tri-Valley League.
- Ryan Britt, Owen Comiskey, Noah Guarini and Toby Sagar were all named TVL All-Stars in boys cross-country. Sagar was also named TVL MVP.
- The DS girls cross-country team won the TVL's sportsmanship award and had three of its members named TVL All-Stars: Caitlin Britt, Corinne Forman and Virginia Borths.
- On November 23, Carly Eckles was named the new head swim and dive coach at Dover-Sherborn. Eckles is a math teacher at the high school and has been serving as an assistant coach for the last five seasons. Eckles is a DS alum who graduated in 2010. Athletic director Emily Sullivan made the announcement on the DS athletics Twitter account.
- With high school football pushed back to the spring due to COVID-19, the annual Thanksgiving rivalry game between Dover-Sherborn and Medfield did not take place for the first time since 1965. Medfield currently leads the all-time series 28-21-4 and won the previous meeting in 2019 by a score of 34-14. The two teams will hopefully get a chance to write the next chapter in their rivalry this upcoming spring.
