The Dover-Sherborn field hockey team’s season came to end in stunning fashion on Sunday when the Raiders lost in two overtime periods to Hanover, 2-1.
The loss came after D-S had defeated Seekonk 2-0 in their first tournament game this year. The 10th-seeded Raiders had played hard all year but could not quite match last year’s season when they lost in the sectional finals.
The loss dropped the Raiders to 12-5-3 on the season.
They will graduate four seniors from this year’s team who will be missed, but with the core of the team returning expect the Raiders to contend once again next season.
