They say experience counts, and if you believe that then there’s a good chance the Dover-Sherborn boys’ hockey team will achieve their goal of returning to the state tournament as they return 12 players from last year’s team.
“Our expectations are the same every year,” coach Jeff Moore said. “We want to win enough games to qualify for the state tournament.”
While playing in the TVL makes winning games challenging, Moore is confident in his leadership with captains Charlie Patriquin, Andrew Mallett and Michael Phelan.
In addition, Moore said he hopes sophomore Cole Condon and junior Joe Paolatto will be offensive scorers for the Raiders.
“Our strength is [our] knowledge of the expectations and ability to work extremely hard to accomplish the team goals,” Moore said. “We are continuously working on being a team that defends well and plays the transitional game well.”
Moore said that they’ll go into every game this season trying to win and he’s looking forward to that.
The Raiders will play at Norton at the Foxboro Sport Center at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday before hosting Medfield at William Chase Arena on Wednesday, December 23 at 7:40 p.m.
