The Dover-Sherborn varsity baseball team faced off against Westwood in back-to-back games last Friday and Saturday, picking up two wins. On Friday, the team picked up a 6-1 win, and on Saturday the team repeated its success by beating Westwood 10-9.
Friday’s game began in Dover-Sherborn’s favor, as the team got off to an early lead with a single run in the first inning, putting the Raiders ahead 1-0.
In the second inning, the Raiders pushed harder and picked up three more runs, but let Westwood pick up a single run to bring the game up to 5-1.
After continuing at 5-1 for most of the game, the Raiders picked up an additional run in the seventh, and with Westwood unable to come up with any more runs, the Raiders picked up a 6-1 win.
The team was led in runs from Nick Riccardi, Luke Turo and Bret Rowean, who all picked up two runs each for the Raiders.
The Raiders will take on Medfield next on Thursday.
