Tyler Hagan, 29

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the unexpected passing of Tyler Hagan, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, who passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 29.

Born on June 5, 1996, in Newton, Massachusetts, Tyler was a ray of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was the treasured son of Eric Hagan and Samantha (Walsh) Hagan, who nurtured his inquisitive spirit and encouraged his many talents.

Tyler was the adored brother of Michael, Drew, and Olivia Hagan, and Olivia’s partner, Tony Ortega. He was a proud and loving uncle to his pride and joy, Nylah and Antonio Ortega, whom he adored beyond belief. In addition, he leaves behind his “babies,” Cisco and Luna. These bonds defined him as a devoted sibling, uncle, and friend.

Tyler was loved dearly by his “Nonnie,” Patricia Iafolla, and his “Grammy,” Patricia Hagan.

His charismatic personality was evident early on, and he made his mark at Medfield High School, graduating in 2014. During his time there, he was known for his athletic prowess in hockey and lacrosse. He carried that same passion and dedication beyond the field through his commitment to coaching the Medfield Freshmen lacrosse team.

Music was one of Tyler’s greatest passions—it was the soundtrack to his life and a source of endless joy. An avid reader, he found solace and adventure between the pages of countless books while also pursuing his love of photography.

Tyler’s quick wit and warm smile were hallmarks of his personality, and he was always ready with a joke to brighten even the darkest day. His gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and truly seen was a testament to his boundless kindness and generosity.

Though his time with us was brief, Tyler’s impact was profound. He touched the lives of many, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and numerous friends.

He was predeceased by his beloved “Grampy,” Richard Hagan, and his dear “Papa,” Steven Guy, whose legacy of love and wisdom he carried forward.

While we mourn the loss of Tyler, we also celebrate the indelible mark he left on the world. His laughter, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Friends and Family are welcome to attend a memorial service honoring Tyler’s memory at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, Medfield 02052, on Monday, April 27, 2026, 11:00 AM.  Visiting hours will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tyler’s honor to the Medfield Animal Shelter, reflecting his love for animals, nature, and his compassionate spirit. Contributions can be made online at medfieldshelter.com.

Rest in peace, dear Tyler. Your memory will forever be a blessing.
