Jeannine (Earnshaw) Adams of Dedham, formerly of Medfield, passed peacefully on May 16, 2020 at the age of 88. Jeannine was the daughter of the late George Edward Earnshaw Jr. and the late Jane Levis Carter. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 62 years William (Bill) Adams, and was the loving mother of daughters Nancy J. Adams Aviles and her late husband Jorge of Foxborough and Elizabeth A. (Beth) Kelly and her husband Thomas of Medfield. She was also the cherished sister to Catherine Earnshaw Huston and her husband Joseph, Dr. Martha Nolte Kennedy and her husband Raoul, and her late brother George Edward Earnshaw III. She was the loving grandmother of Victoria J. LaPlante and her husband Rene, Jorge Rafael Aviles, Sarah E. Kelly and Catherine J. (Catie) Karalis and her husband William.
Jeannine was raised in Westchester and Gradyville Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree with honors in World History from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Library Science from Drexel University. A veracious reader with a thirst for knowledge, she was often found reading several books at one time.
Jeannine is remembered for her passion and love for horses and dogs. In her youth, she was an avid horsewoman, and later had a long and prominent career breeding, showing and judging American Cocker Spaniels. She is most remembered for breeding the famous Champion Overoak Rising Son, who became one of the breed’s top sires of all time.
Burial will be private with a celebration of Jeannine’s life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA-Angell. www.mspca.org.
