Brad McMillan

A longtime resident of Medfield, MA, Brad passed away on August 14th with his close family by his side.

Brad came to Medfield in 1977.  He was an active member of the community especially as both his children grew-up in Medfield.  Brad managed and operated Millis Pharmacy for nearly 20 years. Brad would later sell the pharmacy and work for various healthcare organizations as a pharmacist, passionately helping people in medical need.

Brad enjoyed working on his yard, doing his local errands in Medfield to the bank & post office and enjoyed trips to Cape Cod especially for the restaurants’ “early bird” specials. He also took pride in his family’s Pilgrim heritage and for many years hosted Thanksgiving dinner when he cooked turkey and all the fixings for the entire family. During his retirement years, Brad would also continue to be active in the community volunteering and working at both the Medfield and Millis Senior Centers. He loved travelling especially to Cary, North Carolina and Taipei, Taiwan to visit his grandchildren.

His bright smile, chatty conversations with all and being at the family gatherings with his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law and nieces & nephews were what Brad lived for all the time.  Family was always most important to Brad and being with his wife and children and 3 grandchildren filled him each day with joy and happiness.

Brad is predeceased by his father Harold McMillan, mother Maude McMillan, and sisters Janet Nicolson and Nancy Hagadorn. Brad leaves behind his beloved wife Carolyn Woo McMillan, son Jon McMillan (Chiungwen), and daughter Meredith McMillan Uchida (Kohei). He was the proud grandfather of Lina and Mio Uchida and Ben McMillan.

There will be no funeral services.
