Seamus Fox, an 18-year-old singer songwriter from Needham, is a semifinalist in the prestigious 2021 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Seamus wrote and recorded “Road Of Life”, his first original track, which released on all streaming platforms last November. It has been streamed on Spotify more than 13,000 times in the past few months.
The ISC is a global competition that received more than 21,000 entries. “Road of Life” is one of 132 semifinalists in the Teen category. A celebrity lineup of judges will determine the winners. The grand prize winner takes home a $25,000 prize, plus a recording contract.
Seamus is a 2021 graduate of Needham High School and alumni of the Plugged In teen band program. He recently completed writing his second song, which he will record in the spring on the way to his first album. Seamus was signed by Performers On The Go in 2020 and has a busy summer of performances planned across New England, including Hampton Beach, Hard Rock Cafe Boston, Loretta’s Last Call and the Boston Hatch Shell.
