Parents from Pollard worked tirelessly on creating a new teachers’ space at Pollard Middle School this summer.
With a volunteer interior designer, a volunteer photographer, and many parents, the space was transformed to a wonderful work area and lunch space for teachers. A “thank you” was to the High Rock/Pollard PTC, which funded the cost of the materials and supplies, and to Michelle and Natalie Lawrence, Henrietta Curley, Lisa Relich, Tanya Cherkerzian, Adrienne Giancola, Alexander Giancola, and Sakina Saif-Mulla, parents who volunteered many hours of labor and hard work.
Teachers Paula Kelley and Sue Eaton, who have been at Pollard Middle School for more than 30 years, each shared: “We were surprised and thrilled to come back from vacation to a beautiful new Pollard teacher's lounge. We have had lunch in that room for many, many years and were amazed at the transformation of the room into a cool, chic, and welcoming space. We love the vibrant colors, great art work and the new furniture. We are hoping more colleagues will come down and join us for lunch! Thanks to everyone involved in creating this spectacular new space for the teachers!”
