On September 27 at approximately 6:15 a.m., Needham Police were notified by a 911 caller that a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle at the railroad tracks on May Street in Needham. Responding officers found the pedestrian was semi-conscious with an apparent head injury. Needham Fire Department Paramedics arrived on scene and transported the pedestrian to Beth Israel Hospital – Boston with serious injuries. Needham Police, with assistance from Wellesley Police Crash Reconstruction Team, will be investigating the circumstances of the crash. There are no charges at this time.
