Nikita Patel was honored as an Exchange Club Youth of the Month on February 17. She is an excellent student at Needham High and was recently elected president of her senior class. Nikita and her family organized a charity to deal with a rare disease. She has also volunteered extensively in the Pelmeds Pharmacy vaccination clinics at the Charles River Center and the Center on the Heights. She hasn’t decided on a college yet, but is leaning towards studying supply chain logistics at the UMass Business School.
The Needham Exchange Club provides recognition to four very accomplished graduating high school seniors through its Youth of the Month and Youth of the Year programs. Additionally, its scholarship program provides recognition and financial assistance for graduating seniors. Of these, one will be chosen as the Club’s Youth of the Year, and go on to compete in the New England District Youth of the Year program (the winner of which will represent the District in the National Exchange Club’s National Youth of the Year competition).
