On Sunday afternoon, 15 teams of Needham community members competed at the high school to find out who knew more about local, state, and federal government in the annual League of Women Voters Civics Bee.
The winning team was “The Library’s Congress,” which included Sandra Jaszek, Tom Harkins, and Bob Begin. The team won on the question of who was the first U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice? They correctly answered John Jay to win the title.
There were four preliminary rounds and teams featured local officials, students, businesses, and residents all showing off their knowledge of civics.
