On Thursday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m., the Friends of the Needham Public Library and Needham’s People Against Trafficking Humans (PATH) will host author Jasmine Grace Marino in the Library’s Community Room to speak about her autobiography. “The Diary of Jasmine Grace” was released in January 2017 in honor of Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Subtitled “Trafficked. Recovered. Redeemed.”, it exposes victimization and obstacles to escaping it. Books may be purchased at the program. The head of Needham’s PATH, Peter DiMarzio, will introduce Ms. Marino. DiMarzio works in the Human Trafficking and Cybercrimes Group of the Department of Homeland Security.
The public is invited to attend. Information is in Library Notes, available at the Library and online at www.needhamma.gov/library. Contact Needham PATH at [email protected] or (781-444-0823). Visit www.friendsneedhamlibrary.org and click on “Programs” for further information.
