After a very successful debut last year, the Highland Glee Club is excited for the return of its “Singing Valentine” program in Needham, Newton and Wellesley.

The group will send a group of singers to perform three classic love songs to your Valentine at his or her home, workplace, restaurant, or anywhere else you would like to send them on Friday, Feb. 12.

“We were overwhelmed by the success we had in the first year of our Singing Valentines program,” said Highland Glee Club Vice President Aaron Todd.

“People purchased Singing Valentines for spouses and for their mothers. We performed in homes and restaurants in front of groups both small and large. The smiles on the faces of those we sang for were priceless, and we have twice as many men signed up to sing this year.”

The cost for a “Singing Valentine” is $60 for a performance for one individual or $100 for a performance for a small group.

The HGC singers will arrive wearing tuxedos with red bow ties and give your loved one a single red rose and a personalized card before performing “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” “Heart of My Heart (The Story of the Rose),” and “I Love You Truly.”

Half of the net proceeds from the program will support the HGC’s annual scholarship, given to a local high school senior who plans to pursue a career in music.
