The Needham Farmers Market is back and better than ever. Celebrating its 13th season the Farmers Market offers something for everyone from fresh fruits to baked goods and coffee. This family-friendly market offers countless goods for all ages.
Located on Garrity’s Way right outside the Needham Town Hall the Farmers Market officially opened on June 16 and will be open every Sunday through October 29. The market offers a rotating schedule of vendors with a few fan favorites, bringing in huge crowds.
Opening day featured eleven vendors of all types and live music from Nathan Comstock and Walker Wright. The market opened at 11am and welcomed countless families and shoppers onto the grass. Kevin Keane from the Needham select board spoke about his fond memories of farmers' markets growing up in Needham and the goodies he would look forward to getting. Members from the directors board of the Farmer’s Market welcomed everyone in with open arms, and the market was officially open for business.
The vendors for the opening day included MacArthur Farm, Captain Marden’s Seafood, Maple & Maine Bakery, Berraquera Cafe, Hippie Harvest Microgreen, Petit Four, Bombay Brunch, Delialle, PT Color Market, Allumette Candle Co. and Vilca. Every vendor offered different wonderful goods to their patrons and happily discussed what they were selling.
Garrity’s Way offers wonderful shade coverage from the sun and countless places for people to sit and enjoy their purchases. Many families made use of the picnic tables and bench swings to eat their baked goods and fresh strawberries before going home. The grassy areas quickly turned into playgrounds for young children running off the energy and excitement of the Farmer’s Market.
The Needham Farmers Market is a staple in the community. Countless people look forward to visiting the market and picking up fresh produce and locally made art on Sundays. The market offers countless goodies for everyone of all ages and family-friendly music all afternoon.
The Farmers Market can be found outside of Town Hall all summer with a rotating list of vendors. The weekly vendors can be found on Needham Farmers Market website and their social media.
