Farmers Market continues into autumn

The Needham Farmers Market will continue this Sunday, bringing the best farm-to-table local produce, seafood and treats to the Center of Needham. Members of the community will find the Needham Farmers Market in its brand new location on Garrity Way, the paved driveway between Needham Town Hall and the Town Common. The Market is open from noon until 4 p.m. every Sunday through November 19.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe market’s farmers will have even more fresh produce this week including raspberries and strawberries, cider, peppers (cabanelle, banana, jalapeno), parsley, arugula, kale, winter squash, shell beans, green and yellow beans, leeks, apples (honey crisp, akane, ginger gold, paula red, gala, cortland), Bartlett pears, French grey shallots, nectarines, various types of eggplant, broccoli, plums, Italian bread, rolls, French bread, potatoes (red, white, small), cantaloupes, honeydew, leafy greens, garlic, and corn, tomatoes (field, greenhouse, and heirloom), leeks, Romano beans, cucumbers, pickled cucumbers, Cousa zucchini, summer squash, all varieties of lettuce, wild blueberries, white nectarines, white and yellow peaches, all herbs, and flowers.

Activities for kids make the Market a fun family outing. Each week will bring new seasonal selections, crafts and gifts from local artisans, and live music to keep shoppers’ feet moving.
