Two Needham arts organizations, Charles River Ballet Academy (CRBA) and Longwood Opera, will collaborate on upcoming performances of “Hansel and Gretel.”
Sixteen advanced CRBA students will perform as angels in a dance choreographed by CRBA director, Emily Hrones Umland, concluding the first act of the full-length opera of “Hansel and Gretel,” performed by Longwood Opera. The shows will offer a rare chance to see excellent local performers bring these two art forms to the stage in the same show. Performances will have appeal for all ages, with a free raffle for a gingerbread house kit at intermission. The show is two hours long. Tickets are available at the door for the shows on Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m., and Nov. 5 at 2:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Needham.
