Zullo rolls out “bar card”

This is one time when "getting carded" takes on a fun and festive meaning, while also supporting a local nonprofit organization.

The Zullo Gallery has created a new prepaid "Beverage Bar Card" that makes it easier for anyone stopping into the gallery for First Thursday events or weekly summer gatherings on the Zullo deck to pay for a glass of wine or beer. The "punch" card costs $40 and each punch dot -- eight in total on the card -- is good for a Zullo bar beverage.

Cards can be purchased at Larkin's Wine & Spirits on North Street, or at the Zullo Gallery during its regular 12-5 Saturday and Sunday hours. Cash or checks are accepted (made payable to Zullo Gallery).

"The bar card makes a great last-minute gift -- especially for anyone who loves our First Thursdays or weekly Thursdays in the summer, when the deck is open. Not only is it a good deal, but the card supports the Zullo Gallery at the same time," said Bill Pope,
executive director. "We also hope our regulars will give cards to friends who haven’t experienced the Zullo yet. Maybe that's all the motivation they need to stop in!"

With an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2017, Zullo bar cards will be on sale virtually all year long, noted Pope. He also pointed out the cards be purchased at any First Thursday at the gallery, including the next one on Jan. 5 to kick off the new year.
