By the late 1840’s, the Ware family was residing in their home on South Street, which still stands today. The first person buried in their lot was Sarah Ellen Ware, who died at age 16 from typhoid fever in 1850. There are four other family members buried in there, the last one being her aunt in 1917.
The Trust promotes preservation sessions throughout the spring, summer, and fall for participants to experience success. It has a plausible promise to make a difference, effective tools to get the job done, and a bargain to respect volunteers’ time and abilities. Members of the community are encouraged to volunteer for the 2018 season.
