What a better name to have on any Thanksgiving than Thankful?
According to the records maintained by Vine Lake Preservation Trust, ten women named Thankful are buried in Vine Lake Cemetery’s Old Section.
Thankful (Harding) Penniman died at age ninety on April 1, 1794, is buried in Grave 164. Other women are Thankful (Allen) Clark d. 1760, Thankful Clark d. 1777, Thankful (Bullard) Plympton, d 1807, Thankful (Clark) Fisher d. 1809, Thankful (Morse) Perry d.1809, Thankful Clark d. 1810, Thankful (Penniman) Hinsdel d. 1820, Thankful (Turner) Clark d.1829, Thankful (Bullard) Plympton d. 1897.
