The Montrose School a cappella group, the Treblemakers, hosted seven local high schools at the A Cappella Jam, including the X-Men from Xaverian Brothers High School and the Soundwaves from Medfield High School.

A sellout crowd filled the Arts & Athletics Center for the fifth annual Jam. The event was begun in 2014 to honor the memory of Elizabeth Schickel, Montrose class of 2016, and to support the scholarship established in her name. All donations received at the A Cappella Jam support the Elizabeth Schickel Scholarship Fund.

Other groups performing included Newtones from Newton South High School, Scalestorm from Natick High School, Symphonium from Cardinal Spellman High School, Trills 'n Chills from Medfield, and Bearitones from Ursuline Academy.

The Treblemakers performed lively versions of "No One/Halo," with solos by Olivia Hastie '18 and Nora Clancy '18, and "Wings," with solos by Courtney Aicardi '20, Isabella Russo '21, Emily Rose '18 and Nora Cahill '19.

The evening included a surprise in the closing performance: all seven visiting groups joined the Treblemakers on stage to perform "You Will Be Found" from the musical "Dear Evan Hansen," bringing the audience to a standing ovation.
