For the second year in a row, Medfield High sophomore Will Spaeth is offering kids in town the chance to play games, learn about new games, and interact with other game enthusiasts at the Medfield Library.

The Game Club will begin on March 10 and will run for eight weeks. Spaeth is expanding the club, which last year offered only cribbage, to introduce a new game each week - from board games to classic and new card games.

These are non-competitive, fun meetings. According to an announcement about the start of the Game Club, “Will’s goal is to teach kids classic card games, like Gin Rummy and Hearts, and introduce some new card games, like Castle.”

“He’ll also show the kids some strategic board games that require math and thinking to win.”

The club is for students ages 7-12 and will meet Thursdays from March 10 to May 5 from 4-5 p.m.

For more information or to register for the club, email Kimberly Tolson at [email protected] or sign up at the Children’s Desk or by calling 508-359-4544.
