The Medfield Lions Club, with support from the Medfield Neighbor Brigade, will host its 5th annual spring gala on Saturday, May 5, from 7:30 – 10 p.m. at the Zullo Gallery on Main Street. All proceeds from this event are distributed by the Lions to local families in temporary crisis, identified by the Medfield Neighbor Brigade.
The funds raised by this event are greatly appreciated by the Neighbor Brigade. The Medfield Lions are very proud to announce that funds raised from last year’s Gala purchased 48 “Birthday Wishes” for children recognized by the Neighbor Brigade. Each child in the “Birthday Wish” program received a $50 gift card to a retail store suggested to the Lions. These gift cards covered children whose birthdays were in the months of March, April and May, 2018. By this kind of assistance afforded by the Medfield Lions, the Neighbor Brigade volunteers are given other opportunities to help the community by making meals and giving rides to people who need them.
The Medfield Neighbor Brigade is a network of volunteers that supports Medfield families going through a temporary crisis by supplying meals, rides and performing household chores.
The Medfield Lions Club has partnered with the Medfield Neighbor Brigade to support these families with care packages made possible by this fundraiser and the generosity of the Medfield community.
The Medfield community is encouraged to join in on an evening of music, food and fun on May 5. The event will feature Medfield’s Jerry Potts Band, sponsored by CAM (Cultural Alliance of Medfield), delicious appetizers, wine and beer bar, incredible raffles, and a very special auction item.
