Animal Shelter adoptables treated to makeovers

It was a day of makeovers for four dogs at the Medfield Animal Shelter on Old Bridge Street. At-home pet services provider Canine Company sent one of its mobile pet spas and professional groomers to give the “spa treatment” to several newly adopted dogs and adoption candidates still awaiting homes.

“We were so thrilled to have this special spa day for our dogs,” said Assistant Shelter Manager Jackie Walters. “Shelter dogs crave attention and need every chance to let their personality shine bright as we receive adoption visitors seeking a companion. First impressions count, and boy, are they head-turners now! They came out of the van dancing knowing how beautiful they looked.”

The dogs treated to makeovers at the spa day were: Murray, a 5-year-old Beagle mix who loves children, long walks and snuggle time; Nagrita, an 11-year-old Chihuahua mix who doesn’t act her age; and Fluffy and Jesse, both Pekingese mixed-breeds, received haircuts.
