Dover 10-year-old Sadie McKinlay recently competed in the USASA National Snowboarding Championships at Copper Mountain in Colorado - and was rewarded handsomely for her efforts.
Dover’s Sadie McKinlay hit the slopes at the USASA National Snowboarding Championships.
Sadie placed 10th in the half pipe competition on March 31, then took a stunning first place in the boardercross (BX) event on April 4 in the Girls Grommet division, besting qualifiers from across the country.
McKinlay has been snowboarding for years, trying to keep up with her older sister, Kayla; she trained and competed this winter at Mount Snow, Vermont.
