On Wednesday, August 5, Sherborn's Board of Health announced Farm Pond Beach was closed. The sudden closure comes after a high level of E. coli was found in the pond's water. The water will be retested today and Friday to see if it is safe for people to swim again. Until then, the beach will remain closed.
Symptoms of E. coli infection include stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. Residents with questions or concerns are asked to contact the Board of Health at (508-651-7852) or the Select Board's office at (508-651-7851).
